Adult Day Programs - Island Health

Assists seniors and adults with disabilities to continue to live in their own homes by providing supportive group programs and health services that assist with daily activities of living.
Adult Day Services help improve the health and quality of life for seniors and people with disabilities. An Island Health Case Manager will need to help clients access services.

Services and activities at an Adult Day Centre vary but may include:
  • Day respite
  • Health monitoring
  • Therapeutic and recreational activities
  • Community bathing programs
  • Socialization through therapeutic and recreational activities
  • Caregiver rest and relief
Access to adult day programs is through your Case Manager. For more information please contact the Community Health Office nearest you. Please do not contact the sites directly regarding adult day programs.

Clients may be charged up to $10 per day to attend an Adult Day Program. This fee is for supplies, the meal and transportation. There is also a small cost for bathing services.
