Dementia - Helpline, Resources, Brochures, and Publications

The Alzheimer Society of BC is your connection to a variety of resources and information about Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, and to helpful information for family members and caregivers.
Includes:
First Link Dementia Helpline (1-800-936-6033):
A province-wide service for people with dementia, their caregivers, family, and friends. The Helpline assists individuals in building the confidence to maintain quality of life when facing dementia.

Alzheimer Resource Centres:
Located throughout the province and offering information, educational opportunities, support groups, and the ability to talk directly with a knowledgeable team member. Books and videos can be viewed on-site and a variety of print resources are available to take home.

Print resources:
A variety of downloadable educational brochures and fact sheets for people with dementia, their families, caregivers, and anyone who is concerned about dementia.

Non-English resources:
Information about Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias is available in French, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Persian and Punjabi.

Tyze online tool for caregivers:
Tyze is a private online community, focused around the care and support of an individual. Tyze makes it easier to manage the daily care needs for you or someone you are caring for.
