Public Health Units offers a variety of services in one location.
  • Early Years: Public Health Nurses (PHNs) assess maternal & newborn health and development, and provide education and ongoing support through early childhood as needed.
  • Child Health Clinics: Global health and development assessments, health information, education and referrals. Immunizations according to the BC Immunization Guide for children at 2, 4, 6, 12, and 18 months, and for 4-6 year olds.
  • Prenatal programs

  • BC Early Hearing Program
  • Speech and Language
  • Nutrition
  • Dental health programs
  • Communicable Disease Control
  • Harm Reduction Supplies and Services
  • Sexual Health & Youth

  • Community Health Centres do not have acute care beds, but may provide: basic laboratory and radiology; urgent care; outpatient ambulatory care; community services; long term residential care services; and/or on-site doctors’ offices.

  • X-ray/Imaging: Mon, Wed & Thurs: 8:30am - 3:15pm (by appointment only)
  • Laboratory: (Mon, Wed & Fri: 7:30am - 3pm)(Tues & Thurs: 7:30am - 2pm)(closed for lunch 12pm - 12:45pm)
