The Comox Valley Nursing Centre is a service within Island Health’s Primary Health Care and Chronic Disease management portfolio and is located in Courtenay, British Columbia. The Comox Valley Nursing Centre provides services in the following areas:
The centre offers various programs. Programs at the CVNC include:
  • Health Connections Clinic at the Comox Valley Nursing Centre provides team-based care for people with complex medical and/or socio-economic needs. These could include mental illness, substance use, homelessness, poverty, and chronic disease. The team includes family doctors, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses.
  • Positive Wellness North Island (HIV/Hep B&C) is a team of health care professionals working in association with family physicians/nurse practitioners and HIV specialists providing an integrated service of prevention, education, treatment and support related to HIV and viral hepatitis.
  • Workshops/Groups: Chronic Pain Support Group, Chronic Pain Education Series, Super 6 Exercise Program, Relaxation Program, COPD Support Group and Osteoporosis Support Group.
