Child and Youth Mental Health Services
Child Services, Mental Health - Child & Youth, and Youth Services
Provided by Government of British Columbia
Services include:
- intake and referral;
- consultations;
- mental health assessment;
- individual treatment;
- group treatment;
- parent/child interventions
Concerns most commonly addressed include: anxiety, depression, severe behaviour problems, psychosis and complex mental concerns.
Mental health team may include: counselllors, physicians, Psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers. Each team is unique, with the mix of staff and services reflecting the needs of each community and population.
Intakes are received Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 4:00pm by calling 604-904-4300, extentions 1. Youth and/or family can call the main office to request a CYMH Intake. Intake paperwork and questionnaire will be sent electronically to the family. Once paperwork is completed and returned, a CYMH Clinician will contact the youth/family to complete the intake for CYMH or refer to another appropriate resource.
